Is an Online Income Really Possible?

I just read an article, the article was written in a way that was intended to expose websites that tote the prospect of making money online. It also called out online courses that charge upfront fees to learn this lucrative business.

I agreed with most of the article, it is true that most of the individuals making money online are not individuals at all.

They are mega companies, and sites that have been around for a long time.

I would agree that the majority of the online courses, promising wealth and unlimited income are misleading and lacking any substantial evidence to back up their claims.

The article made a statement alluding to the abstract idea that any newcomers who would like to throw their hat into the arena, will stand very little chance or no chance of making money online.

What do you think? Are we at the end of the money making rainbow called the internet? Has someone else already claimed your pot of gold?

Is the internet gold rush over?

Although we see a lot of value based content merging, where in if you want to play you will have to pay. Please remember most of the techniques and resources for starting a business online can be found for free online.

The most important thing to remember is that most of the tools that make an online income possible are still free.

So with all of the naysayers on the net, at work and at home, shooting your hopes and dreams down. The question still remains.

Is an Online Income Really Possible?

I recall a time when amazon.com was losing money year after year, the internet champions of that time and CEO’s had nothing but harsh words for Jeff Bezos Marketing Plan. Now amazon.com’s price per share has over taken google.com. One more blurb about amazon.com, it is the fastest company to reach $100 billion in annual sales.

I mention amazon.com and Jeff Bezos because, Jeff Bezos quit his hedge fund job in 1994 with plans to sell books online, he is now the 4th riches man in the world, at the time of this writing.

I have released a video with the leading line, An Online Income Is Possible. Am I an optimist lost in a time that was.

IinCmm Income while You are Online

IinCmm what does it mean? IinCmm what do the acronyms stand for? What are you selling?

These are the three questions I get quite often when people see my advertisements.

I ask them, have you visited my site online? Then I follow up with, it will remain a mystery until, I have met my goal or someone figures it out.

In the meantime, what you and anyone else who are interested in making an income online need to know is…

That last one Making Money, can you really make money while online?

Yes you can, but please do not believe all the hype, it can be challenging, frustrating, disappointing and costly.

That is why I am trying to make this as easy as possible.

What if making money online is as easy as touching a button?

Consider amazon.com, facebook.com, twitter.com, google.com, instagram.com, and all of the various online stores, all make money because you or someone else touched a button. Pushing a button is how they make money online, infact you can purchase items on amazon.com with one touch and your selected product is on it’s way to you. You get the latest gadget, book, or clothing, and they get paid.

Certain sites also offer an affiliate program, where in you can get paid anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars depending on the item or items your affiliate links are attached to.

However this process requires you to put in some work. You will have to have an online presence, whether it be a successfully email list, a website, a blogger account. Maybe you decide to use your facebook, twitter, instagram, google plus account, or some other form of social media.

Once you have setup one of the above avenues to attract business, then you will have to create content, content that is relevent to the item or items you have an affiliation with.

You will also have to take certain steps, so people can find you online, and create more content.

You may choose to buy some online adverisements from, google, twitter, facebook, and other companies who are willing to take your money in turn they will help you improve your SEO score.

Oh, I did not mention all of the research you have to do to understand how the the IoT (Internet of Things) work. Plus you will have to research your product, so you can become a semi expert on the product. If you gather enough information, you could right your own eBook and sell it on amazon, on iBooks, Barnes and Nobles, and on your website.

Ever Tangled With Lightning and Me, this post is a reminder to me why I tell stories.

I wanted to draw and write since I could remember. I entered my first drawing contest when I was four years old. I saw this contest in the back of a TV Guide and the top prize was a Art Scholarship. So I drew the cartoon image in the article and mailed it off to the address listed.

I received a letter from the representatives of the contest denying my entry because they could not believe I drew the picture at the age of four. They claimed I either traced the picture or had my parents draw it for me.

At that point I abandon the dream of becoming a world famous artist. I started reading books by the boat load in between getting in trouble for my over active imagination.

Shortly there after I started writing poems and later they turned into songs but I never had the courage to reach for anything greater than my own satisfaction.

Since those early days I have come a long way, many years have passed and have broken out of my shell.

I have self published a couple of my songs and a couple of books.

This site is my starting point and I am offering you a chance to join the ride. I have included for free a collection of my short stories for your reading pleasure.

Visualization is the key to your future, whether you are seeking internet fame and fortune, or just want to tell your story.

When someone is telling you a funny, sad, personal story. You may hear  words but if somewhere in the story, you do not start visualizing what is being said. You truly will have lost the real reason the story was being told.

The next time you or someone close to you tell a story, express their deep inner feelings, converse with you on their future endeavors, look into their eyes and try to see with your minds eye what they are saying.

What about you, if you are striving to achieve financial freedom, want to by a new car, looking to purchase a your first house, start a business, become the vice president of your company. Your words need to be backed up by your vision.

If you can see what you truly desire, if you see the vision before anyone else, there is nothing you cannot achieve.

The old statement "set your mind to it" or "the minds eye" should now have a visual connotation accompanying it.

Should You Pay for Financial Advice by Arthur S. Newman

Where do you turn for financial advice?

Hey your neighbor drives a Hummer and his wife drives a Mercedes, maybe they know a little bit about financial matters.

Your friend always picks up the restaurant and bar tab, he always has cash on him and he flashes those credit cards around with no care in the world. Surely he knows a thing or two about the financial nuts and bolts of money. Speaking of nuts and bolts. How about your mechanic?

Who do you turn to for financial advice, and should you pay for it?

Whether you choose to hire a financial professional or you choose to read the latest greatest secret about financial freedom.

Please heed the following caution.

Beware of the financial gurus trying to separate you and your hard earned money.

There is plenty of free advice that will get you where you want to go without you having to give a months worth of salary to get there.

Save your money or invest your money, but please do not give it to these shysters.

Be afraid be very afraid.

Who should you be weary of.

Rule of thumb if they are asking you for money for their advice, books, seminars, audio recordings, website subscriptions, etc etc etc… run Forest run.

Yes, it is true most of these gurus are already rich and have “helped a lot of individuals.” So why do they still peddle their wares?

Greed - “A lover of silver will never be satisfied with silver, nor a lover of wealth with income. This too is futility.”

If you already have enough money to live three lifetimes, why bilk those less fortunate then you. Especially if you are using religion as part of your spill.

Note to the Financial Gurus:
If you have chosen to save every person suffering from financial woes whether self inflicted or by unforeseen occurrences do it on your dime and not on their penny.

If you have read any of my articles, or posts you know I have never asked for a dollar for the advice I give.

I am more than happy to help you live the dream of Financial Freedom and you can keep your money and I am willing to pay you to help me spread the message.

As I have said before, if you don’t make money, I don’t make money. I will never stoop so low as to ask you to pay for advice that should be free.

So how do I make money? By selling my novels, advertisements, and promotions, I also tutor people in my home town on electronic and digital devices.

I hope someday to be able to travel and help others achieve Financial Freedom, but I have just gotten started on my own journey.

That is why my story is so different from most individuals who have already met this milestone, most of the time the financial gurus both legitimate and not so legitimate are already rich, so all of a sudden they are ready to sell their method “Their Secret.”

They sell you on how life was so difficult, how they lost their job, or they were tired of the rat race or some other financial stress and somehow, magically the numbers all fell in place. They figured out the holy grail of financial aptitude, and now they are willing to sell their “Secret” to you.

It would have been great if they had told their story as they were getting started.

That is what I aim to do, you get to follow me on my journey to financial freedom and I hope along the way others will join me for this fruitful ride.

The question that you are burning to ask me.

What makes you qualified to help others?

I am not qualified to help you save, invest, spend, or waist your money, no more than all those money grubbing experts that are just waiting for you to enter your credit card number.

However the principles are the same for everyone.

Go to work and work hard.
Get your paycheck.
Pay yourself first, by having a savings account.
Do Not overspend for anything, I repeat do not spend unless it is really necessary.
Pay your bills.
If you have debt, start a plan to eliminate it.
Pick an investment or financial vehicle that will grow your money.
When the time is right claim your Financial Independence.

If you want to accelerate the process get a part time job, or start your own business.

If you think these steps are incorrect, go ahead buy the next financial book that has been released, and compare it to the one that you bought ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty years ago.

Tell me if the advice has changed at all.

The only ingredient that is missing is your desire to make it happen.

I am told that people like list so here is a list I put together a few years ago.
These are all of the suggestions that have been stated in a multitude of books and guides on Financial Freedom.

Again the only real ingredient missing in the above list is your desire to make it happen.

If you change your desire you will achieve Financial Freedom you will become Financially Free.

Best of all you do not need a self made guru to teach you this.

Where has the money gone? by Arthur S. Newman

It was a Friday my partner Ben Wise and I were investigating a missing persons case. The complaint was filed by the VP of this huge conglomerate. He says his long time employee and highly respected member of the community has gone missing.

We were following some credible leads which pointed to possible foul play.

When our paths crossed with a young lady, she had been following us for some time Ben and I noticed we picked up the tail a few blocks back.

She was frantic and disturbed, every third word of each sentence that she spewed out of her mouth was accompanied by weeping and sniffles. It appeared to be a serious complaint about her missing inheritance

“Until now I… lived a life… of financial independence… but now my… financial health my…

“Ma’am you need to calm down, catch your breath and speak slow.” I said to her with a calm demeanor.

The last statement and her first complete sentence was, “Can You Help Me.”

My partner introduced us, “My name is Ben Wise and this is Monty Smart, let’s start at the beginning.”

Need a loan, no where to turn but the local bank, or credit card, and if you were really desperate payday loans could see you through until your next paycheck.

Thanks Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Gofundme, and other crowdfunding sites too numerous to list. We are no longer at the mercy of those loan sharks.

Tablet PC’s

Oh the excitement of watching cellphones (Oh yeah at some point in the past they were called Car Phones) get smaller and smaller, even better I had the internet in my pocket, well almost.

I just wish I could see the screen when watching my favorite videos. Your wish is my command, whether you have a fetish for iOS or Android, maybe you still clean your Windows, there is a tablet for all you're viewing pleasures.

Streaming Audio Video Data

Does anyone remember the Sony Walkman music in the palm of your hand, how about Blockbuster Video, Hollywood Video, Movie Gallery, Video World, etc… At least the home computer and cable tv is safe, right?

No, we cannot completely cut the cord on computing and cable just yet, but we have come pretty close. We can stream just about anything and after we figure out 3D printing. Just imagine what’s next. “Beam Me Up, Scotty”

Ok maybe I went overboard with those lyrics, thinks Cyndi, and I admit it, I really did enjoy my Nextel. Can someone tell me why Motorola and Nokia could not recapture the Glory Days.

Man I just can’t put this thing down, it does not matter whether eating, drinking, driving, working, sleeping and pooping. It is always there waiting for me to touch it.

What Are You Working For by Arthur S. Newman

There is a powerful financial principle to achieve financial freedom that anyone can do, using the money you already make. However do to various arguments that have been made about this principle, many get turned off and never see it for what it really is.

Before we discuss this powerful financial principle that can start you down the path to financial independence, lets engage the question.

What are you working for?

I hope you were not expecting me to answer this question for you.

In fact you should have been able to narrow your list to five items, whether you are single or with family.

The fascinating thing about that question is most people answered, "I got to pay the bills," "The bills won't pay themselves," or some variation of that answer.

Now before you dismiss the validity of the answer, by stating, "They did not know what your were really asking."

Paying your bills is a valid answer. So, my next question is.

What if all of your bills are paid every month?

What are you working for?

Here is where it gets tricky and the answers start to vary, but still the same outcome. The majority of the people asked, said they would spend the extra money on new cell phones, new shoes or clothes, a new tv, a new video game, basically they would spend the money.

However, this question is not about what you would do with the extra money.

The reason for the question, is to make you stop for a minute and ponder. Why do I get up every morning and go to a job, I do not like anymore? Why do I put up with a boss that only cares about how much he or she can get out of me, for the least amount of money the company is willing to pay? Except for my yearly vacation, I do the same thing over and over everyday. Is this what the rest of my life is going to be like?

In this article we are going to talk about another answer to; What are you working for? This answer could help you retire debt free which includes your house being paid for and you will be able to say I have obtained financial freedom.

The best thing about this answer is, anyone can do it.

Do you ever make the following statements.

I am not a robot I am a human of flesh and blood with real feelings, with real desires, passions and dreams. I want so much more out of this life.

Maybe you are content with your current life, if so than you are a robot obeying the same preprogrammed routines automatically, you do not even have to think, just do.

Some of you are saying hey wait a minute, I enjoy my job, and I am doing exactly what I want to do. I am completely happy and content with my current circumstances.

That still do not negate the question. What are you working for?

I had someone say to me, "Your site is all about working for yourself, and starting your own business. What if I do not want to have my own business? It is too much trouble."

That still does not negate the question. What are you working for?

The question is asked to get you to focus on tomorrow, next week, next month, next year and eventually the years will take you to a time when you can no longer work. For some, sooner than later based on your current age or unexpected events that could shorten our work life.

What if the answer is, I am working to buy back my freedom or if you are just getting started, I am working to secure my freedom.

"Time moves in one direction."

The work force is created of wage earners, trading time for money. So, at some point the money earned should buy back some of that time.

For most of the working public, if you work for one week you get 2 days off, two days of parole, 2 days of freedom. If you work one year you get one year of vacation. One week of freedom, the time you gave, was it worth it.

I just read a story about a gentleman who had the same life you and I, have or had. He suffered through the losses and gains that life has to offer, until he finally had enough of the losses. Theses losses also included the unexpected loss of his job more than twice. He spent twenty years creating a system that allowed him to retire at the age of 50. He says, in his book he no longer has to work for money and now he has enough assets that work for him.

The old cliche stop working  for money and have money work for you.

Will that be your outcome, is that what your are working for?

By now you are asking yourself. Why then should I waste my time reading this article?

We consistently go to sleep, got to work, pay the bills, and do it all over again day after day.

What if we put consistency to work to create a new path by using the current daily routine, that will allow us freedom to decide what tomorrow will be like, instead of waiting for whatever may come.
